Netopia, now Motorola, Inc., is a leader in
providing carrier-class broadband customer premise equipment (CPE), remote
management software, and services to telecom operators worldwide. The
company provides a full portfolio of products designed for DSL networks,
including wired and wireless modems, routers, and gateways. The company’s
products deliver voice, video, data, and other advanced services to
residential and business customers. Sequest was a member of small contract team porting legacy router system to modular telephony platform. Responsibilities were to debug hardware and layout problems. Using Linux-based cross-development tools for the MPC860, wrote drivers, diagnostics, and tools, both for product integration and for engineering support. Sequest utilized a variety of network analyzers, simulators, and logic analyzers to debug and verify operation of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, (T)FTP, and other protocols.
